LOGARITHM OF MATH
You know what is logarithm ?
Logarithm are the inverse of exponents.
Properties of logarithm can be derived from the properties of exponents.
Exponential form VS Logarithm form :-
Before before we solve the question at hand let us get to the basics we know that multiplication is nothing but the repetative addition. For example, to added to itself 5 times, would give the same result as multiplied to 5, that is 10. Can we find out how many times 2 is added to itself if we know that result? like how many times do we need to add to 2 itself to get 12 ?the answer is simple 6. We subconsciously divide 12by 2and get the answer . It works because division undoes multiplication. In other words , division is the inverse of multiplication .
Similarly we have exponentiation which which is repetitive multiplication 2 multiplied to itself 5 times is 2⁵ that is 32. How would you find the number of times towards multiplied to itself if you the result this is similar to what is asked in thing and reflect the answer to the question lies in logarithms just like division and does multiplication logarithms and do exponentiation is the Inverse Operation of exponentiation .
In the simplest terms a logarithm is the mathematical operation that defines the number of times a number is to be multiplied by itself to get another given number
Going back to the problem when we say that the Layers double each time when they are folded we referred to that number 2 this is our page number 128 is a number will finally want to achieve this is our argument when we view this in the exponted exponential form we are looking for the exponent.
