MATTER IN OUR SOURROUNDINGS

 

 

 As we look at our surroundings  we see da large variety  of things with  different  shapes, sizes and textures . Everything  is made up of material with scientist have name matter. the air  we breath the food we eat, stones, clouds, stars, plants and animals even a small drop of water or a particle of sand everything is a matter.

 PHYSICAL  NATURE OF  MATTER

For a long time two schools of thought prevailed regarding the nature of matter. one school believe matter to be continuous like a block the other thought that matter was made up of particle like sand. 

PROPERTIES OF  MATTER

1. Particles  of  matter  have  space between  them. 

2. Particles  of matter attract  each other.

3. Particles  of matter are continuously moving. 

  STATES OF MATTER  

 1. Soild 

2.liquid

3.gaseous

  CAN MATTER  CHANGE  ITS STATES?

 When we all know from our observation that water can exist in the state of water solid as I liquid as familiar water and gas as water vapour what happened inside the matter during this change of state ? what happens to the particles of matter during the change of state? how does it change of a takes place? 🤔 we need answer to this question isn't.
