     What is gravity ? 

Gravity is one of the basic forces in the universe like electromagnetism it makes things with Mass full towards each other more massive objects that as the earth will smaller object has used towards them until stick together.

Is the universe expanding evenly in the gravity?

No the force of gravity stops everything from flying outwards. Lumpy bits of space become even live fear moving at different speeds gravity locks together little pockets of space and matters such as galaxies.
