WHY ONIONS make us cry?
Onion and some other vegetables like garlic are belong to the aliam family.

When any animal go to feed the onion , so it release a punching chemical.

While growing its take sulphur from the soil.
This sulphur is used to make amino acid .
When we cut onion by cell after cell it release alliance.
Alliance mixed with water and other gases and it take place a sulphenic acid.
Now why onion make us cry ?
Eyes cell sense that any acid is coming it get secured when the acid comes our eyes release water to protect .
There is a good idea to relief from crying 😢
You can fridge the onion and for few minutes shall not release any acid. In that time you can cut the onion.
