who is sidhu moosewala ?

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu (11 June 1993 – 29 May 2022), known professionally as Sidhu Moose Walawas an Indo-Canadian rapper, singer and songwriter. He worked predominantly in Punjabi-language music and cinema. He is generally regarded to have been one of the greatest Punjabi artists of his generation and to many, amongst the greatest Punjabi artists of all time. Moreover, he was considered as a key figure in opening the door for Punjabi artists into mainstream music.

Why he was shoot out ?

I do not feel bad for his death. Exactly how i did not feel bad for the death of Burhan Vani. I did not feel bad that his mother lost a son because his son wanted to break India. Both Burhan Vani & Moosawala wanted their states to be separated from India. He showed picture of terrorist Bhinderwala in one of his songs. Using his art to create sympathy for terrorists is another crime that he had committed. He praised Bhinderwala in his song “motherland".

He also said that Punjabis are not like Kashmiri who can be oppressed.

I am not sure why people are crying over his death. Is making songs with good music the only parameter to decide if a person is worth being remembered? Infact, the gangster Moosawala promoted gun & drug culture through his songs.

There is nothing to feel bad about his death. A gangster who wants India to be broken into pieces deserves no sympathy, not mine atleast.

He is responsible for his own death. His bad deeds earned him an attack.

His images with his mother are being used to create sympathy for him 

This incident has again highlighted that government has an important role to play between earning votes & maintaining law & order. Punjab government removed the security cover of 424 VIPs. It is quite evident that the decision wasn't based on threat perception. Moosawala was always on a high threat because of which ticket distribution of his planned show in June in Canada was delayed. Mann government just wanted to lure people, penalising rich people/ taking something away from politicians is a wonderful way of making people happy. However that can sometimes be too dangerous.

Moosawala's security was reduced, not removed completely. He still had 2 police and 2 personal guards as well as a bulletproof vehicle but preferred to travel without those. His security should have been increased rather than being reduced. This is a negligence from him as well as state government.

In short Moosawala isn't somebody who deserves sympathy. He was a gangster himself & promoted the same through his songs. Government could save him if they had acted on intelligence inputs but they preferred to woo voters at the cost of lives.
